Eric Novak, Praxis' Principal, has twenty-five years experience in many aspects of the affordable housing development process, including affordable assisted living, public housing mixed-finance development and supportive housing. Mr. Novak has secured financing for a number of affordable housing developments in Nevada, including recently Silver Sage Senior Residence, which opened in March 2007 in Reno (41 senior tax credit units), Otto Mérida Desert Villas, which opened in July 2007 in Las Vegas, and is Nevada’s first public housing mixed-finance development (60 family tax credit units), St. Vincent’s Residence, a 28-unit facility for single individuals and the chronically homeless, which opened in November 2009 in Reno, Step 1 Residence, a 20-bed transitional housing program for ex-offenders with substance addictions, which also opened in November 2009 in Reno, and Silver Sage at Neil Road, a 36-unit senior development funded with tax credits and Federal Stimulus funds which will begin construction in March 2010 in Reno.
